Initiator Types

The only non-regulated electric match on the market, MJG Initiators will perform exactly the same as traditional e-match, but without the need for any certification. MJG Initiators come in three different types; Standard Shroud, Twist Locks, and Visco Shroud.

Standard Shroud



Standard Shroud Initiators are designed to be used with an e-match port or inserted directly into the cake.

Twist Locks



Includes a T-Lock (twist lock) shroud that will plug and secure into any Spirit of '76 Professional products with the matching T-Lock port. Compatible Spirit products are marked with the T-Lock logo in their product catalog. For more information on compatible products, please see Ignition Types.

Visco Shroud



Visco Shroud Initiators come with a pre-installed tube that fuse is inserted into. Simply insert the fuse, apply tape, and your effect is ready to reliably fire.

Usage and Maximum Firing

The following provides a how-to video on connecting MJG initiators and maximum firing specifications. You can fire MJG initiators both in parallel and in series.
